Ted felt that both volumes of Jazz Soloing was his best work. Whenever I would ask him any kind of question relating to my guitar studies he would not only help explain it (or play it) but would also tell me what chapter or page I would find it on. Check out Ted's Tele on the cover, the year was 1978.  Ted was experimenting since 1963 with inductors, rewiring, in & out of phase, changing pick-ups and things I cannot remember. He could get about 3,000 different tones from his 335, Les Paul and his Tele. Fender would often call Ted for his advice on wiring.
